Life on the Farm
Life at Stoney Ridge follows the rhythms of the land. The light changes slowly across the ridgelines. The fog moves through the holler like a quiet guest. The pace here is unhurried, and that’s by design.
Spread across 200 acres of Appalachian ridges and valleys, the farm offers open pastures, old logging roads, and gentle mountain terrain. While we don’t have manicured trails, guests are welcome to roam freely. Wander through fields, follow the path the cattle took last week, or sit in stillness and simply take in the view. Every visit brings something different, depending on the season, the weather, and what you’re ready to leave behind.

The Chickens
Our free-ranging hens give us fresh eggs and plenty of laughs. They’re always foraging, exploring, and finding new ways to keep us on our toes.

Cattle
Our cattle graze the pastures peacefully, helping care for the land as much as they feed from it. They bring a calm, steady presence to the farm and remind us to slow down and enjoy the view.

Our most loyal companions
No story of Stoney Ridge would be complete without Rowdy & Bugsy, our four-legged shadows and trail guides. From the earliest walks of the process to the final touches on the yurt deck, they’ve been with us through it all. Always a step ahead or asleep in the shade, Rowdy & Bugsy remind us daily what it means to be present, patient, and at home in the wild.
They may greet you with a tail wag or simply watch from a distance. They give the quiet comfort of company needed around here.
