Welcome to Stoney Ridge Farm & Retreat, a peaceful mountaintop stay tucked deep in the heart of Southwest Virginia. Perched along the Eastern Continental Divide, our 200-acre farm offers wide open spaces, rolling ridgelines, and room to breathe, making it the perfect vacation getaway.
Located just ten minutes from the beautiful town of Tazewell, also base for the “Back of the Dragon,” you’ll find plenty to do and see.
Our area also offers wonderful cycling opportunities. On the farm, mountain bike jaunts through open pastures are great fun, plus there are several miles of recently renovated high mountain trails above the Yurt, it’s all yours. Outside the farm gate, there are miles and miles of paved and gravel roads traversing over mountain ridges, running alongside rivers and cruising through small communities like Mud Fork and Tip Top. Motor vehicles are few and far between on these roads.
Whether you come to wander through pastures and forest, observe the farm animals and mountain wildlife, watch the fog roll through the hollers, or simply sit and stay a while, you’ll find that the quiet here runs deep along with the welcome.
